Solitude, introspection, inner search, guidance
Not yet. The Hermit asks you to reflect more before deciding. The answer will come, but not from outside.
The Hermit holds a lantern alone on a snowy mountaintop — the light is his own inner wisdom, the darkness is the noise he's stepped away from. This card asks you to retreat from the world long enough to hear yourself again. Take the solo trip, the silent weekend, the early morning before anyone else is awake. The answer you need won't come from more input; it'll come from less. The Hermit is also a card of teaching — sometimes you're the one others come to for wisdom now.
Reversed, the Hermit warns of isolation that's tipped into loneliness, or self-imposed exile that's no longer serving you. Alternatively, you've been alone too long and it's time to come back to people. Either too much withdrawal or not enough — find the balance.
Time alone is what you need before the next relationship. If partnered, give each other space without it being a problem.
Loneliness in or out of a relationship. Reach out to someone — your own light isn't enough right now.
Solo work, deep research, becoming an expert. A sabbatical or career retreat may be exactly right.
Isolated at work, freelance burnout, or you've lost touch with your industry. Re-engage.
