Deception, strategy, getting away with something, sneaking

A figure tiptoes away with five swords, leaving two behind — half a job done sneakily. This card warns of deception, either yours or someone else's. Cutting corners, getting away with something, or being lied to. Sometimes it suggests a clever strategic move that requires not playing your cards openly. The Seven of Swords is morally ambiguous — sometimes wisdom looks like sneaking, sometimes it's just dishonesty.
Reversed, the deception comes out — confession, getting caught, or ending a pattern of dishonesty. Sometimes returning to take what you tried to leave behind.
A partner being dishonest, an affair, or someone with hidden agenda. Or you're not being fully honest.
Confession in a relationship, the truth coming out, or ending a deceptive pattern.
Workplace deception, a coworker stealing credit, or you cutting ethical corners.
Getting caught, or admitting something you'd been hiding at work.
