Your ruling planet Venus is retrograde right now, so old hobbies circle back. You find the wooden birdhouse kit your grandson gave you two years ago, still in its plastic wrap. The instructions are faded but the pieces are all there. Sitting on the back porch with sandpaper and wood glue feels like a luxury you haven't allowed yourself since you retired. The mail brings a coupon for the craft supply store, a small nudge you take seriously. A neighbor stops by to ask if you can watch their cat next week, and you say yes before you think about it. That kindness opens a quiet conversation about the carving class they teach on Tuesdays. Your daughter calls in the evening and mentions the crib you built for her first baby. She is not asking for anything, just remembering. You do not mention the birdhouse, but you hold the phone and feel the wood grain still under your fingers.

- Set aside twenty minutes after lunch to sand that birdhouse, even if you only finish one side.
